Out of Claude Code usage by Wednesday?

Make Claude Code the director, not the typist. It writes the brief and checks the result; the long work runs in Reflex Ops under a dollar cap.

Claude Code plans have a five-hour session limit and a weekly limit, shared across Claude and Claude Code. Hit one on Wednesday and you can upgrade, buy extra usage, pay per call, or wait.

Look at what spent it. A first draft. A long rename. A page you will rewrite anyway. Work that a check can settle, done by the most expensive mind in the room.

Director, not typist

Keep Claude Code as the director. It writes a short brief, hands the long work to Reflex Ops, then checks the result before it tells you "done".

Your plan lasts for the thinking.

Four steps

1. Install Reflex Ops and sign in once.

curl -fsSL https://reflex.riif.com/install | bash
reflex login

On Windows, in PowerShell: irm https://reflex.riif.com/install.ps1 | iex

2. Set up your project once.

cd your-project
reflex kit

This writes a skill file so Claude Code knows how to hand work over, and lets it run reflex task without asking each time.

3. Ask for the work. Tell Claude Code: "Use Reflex to draft the user guide." It writes a brief under briefs/ and runs:

reflex task briefs/guide.md --cap 2

The job stops once its cost passes the cap: 2 dollars here, 4 if you say nothing. It also stops at a time limit, or if a protected file shrinks by more than a quarter. When it ends you see the time, steps, tokens and cost. Every run adds one line to .reflex/runs/RUNS.tsv.

4. Claude Code checks. It reads the diff, runs your tests and gives you the cost line. A report is not a check; the test run is.

Free models and private folders

Models whose names end in "-free" cost nothing to run, and they may learn from what they read. So they are refused in a private folder, and every folder is private until you mark it public yourself:

reflex folder # private or public?
reflex folder public # a person at the keyboard says yes

Client code stays private. Use free models for sample content and work that is already public.

What it does not do

It does not raise your Claude Code limit. It moves the long, checkable work off it, under a dollar cap with a log.

curl -fsSL https://reflex.riif.com/install | bash

Then reflex login, then reflex kit in your project.
